Hello! I’m Summer Baermann!

Hello! I’m Summer Baermann! I was raised in the beautiful city of Chicago. I graduated high school in 2024 and was home educated from kindergarten to 12th grade. I have a innate desire to create that has been in me since I was a little girl and it has continued to grow throughout my life. The medium of that creativity has changed many times, from painting and drawing, to embroidery, crochet and knitting. I have participated in many different art classes along with my own exploration and many trips to the craft store. 

 

Having lots of time during the lockdown, I pulled out my mom’s sewing machine and started to sew. Of all the mediums I had partaken in over the years, sewing truly combined both hands on creation and art in a beautiful way. Since then, I pursued a five month course in Florence, Italy exploring what my future in fashion could look like. The time studying helped solidify my passions and made me want to learn more; working under teachers and alongside peers. 

 

In the future I could see myself working for a small clothing business or starting one that emphasizes natural fibers and timeless designs. I would love to design beautiful clothing that enhances and adds confidence to the wearer.
